Second Graduate Degree Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to define the policy for seeking a second graduate degree at Columbia College.

This policy applies to all applicants seeking a second degree at Columbia College.

Policy

An individual who desires a second master’s degree from Columbia College may receive a maximum of 9 hours credit from the first degree toward the second degree, if the credit is deemed applicable by the academic department in which the second degree is sought. All other requirements for the second degree, including the culminating experience, must be completed. If an applicant has completed a master’s degree at Columbia College and seeks to return to pursue one of the master’s degree emphases, that individual should contact the Office of the Dean in which the program is housed.
