Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to define the rule for on campus residents to participate in the dining hall meal plan at Columbia College.

This policy applies to all Day Campus students residing in residence halls at Columbia College.
Policy
New Dining Hall Operations
"Taps" Replaces All-Day Dining
- Starting Aug. 27, 2026, students can tap in once during each designated meal period at Dulany Dining Hall.
- If you wish to re-enter during the same meal period, you must use Dining Dollars, Cougarbucks or a credit/debit card.
- Once you tap in, you can still eat as much as you like during that period.
- Monday–Friday:
- Breakfast: 7 a.m. – 10 a.m.
- Lunch: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Dinner: 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday & Sunday:
- Brunch: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Dinner: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Burchards’ Cougar Cafe Hours
- Monday–Friday:
- Starbucks/Grab-and-Go: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Restaurant: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
