The education department at Columbia College has a two-fold mission. We prepare students for the teaching profession and better equip current teachers through a variety of certificate and master's-level programs.

 
 
 

Programs and experiences we offer

The Columbia College education department prepares students for Missouri teaching certification. We also work with graduate-level students to prepare them for leadership roles in schools and districts. Don't know where to start? Try this exercise.

Beacon

The Beacon program allows students to pursue certification along with a bachelor's degree.

M.A.T and M.Ed.

These master degrees helps current teachers hone their classroom skills and prepares students for administrative roles.

Minors
