HESI A2® test dates for applicants to the in-seat nursing programs

Admissions Assessment HESI (A2®)

Students are required to achieve a competitive score on the Admission Assessment HESI (A2®) in order to be considered for acceptance into the Nursing Sequence. Currently, A2® Fifth Edition is being given. The A2® exam must be administered at Columbia College to be considered for admission. Columbia College utilizes the following sections of the A2:

  • Learning style
  • Personality
  • Critical thinking
  • Math
  • Reading
  • Vocabulary
  • Biology

Students may take the A2® at any time before the application deadline. However, it is highly recommended it be taken as close as possible to finishing the prerequisite courses. Students are allowed to take the A2® twice. There is an A2® Study Guide available on the Elsevier website .
