Columbia College Student Veterans (CCSV) organizes student veterans and other students in order to have a positive impact on members, the college and the community.

Salute Veterans Honor Society

Salute Veterans Honor Society recognizes the academic success of student veterans at Columbia College. 

Salute is the first national honor society established for student veterans and military members at institutions of higher education. Members include veterans, active duty military, National Guard and reservists returning to higher education, starting their second careers or helping fund their college careers with military service.

Undergraduate membership criteria:

  • Degree-seeking honorably discharged veterans, active duty, National Guard and reservists
  • Columbia College cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Minimum of 12 semester hours completed at Columbia College
  • Sophomore-level academic standing
  • $45 application fee or $55 for application fee and honor cord

Graduate membership criteria: 

  • Degree-seeking honorably discharged veterans, active duty, National Guard and reservists
  • Columbia College cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 in graduate program
  • Minimum of 12 graduate semester hours completed at Columbia College
  • $45 application fee or $55 for application fee and honor cord
