DSST (DANTES) and CLEP Exams

Columbia College offers the DSST (DANTES) and CLEP exams, as well as resources for those who want to take the exams.

What is DSST/DANTES?

DSST (also known as DANTES) exams are college-level examinations through which one can receive college credit for prior knowledge in particular subject areas. For a complete listing, visit the testing services office or GetCollegeCredit.com .

What is CLEP?

College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams are college-level exams through which one can receive college credit for prior knowledge in particular subject areas. For a complete listing, visit the testing services office or the CollegeBoard website .

What exam do I need to take?

It is the examinee's responsibility to select the correct exam for the desired credit. You will be given a chance to select your exam subject prior to checkout. Testing Services will not advise as to Transfer Equivalencies. Please reference the sources of exam credit page or contact your Academic Advisor if you have questions.

What are the exam costs?

DSST

The administrative charge for taking your exam at the main campus in Columbia, Mo., is $25 and is due at the time of registration. The exam fee of $100 is paid at the time you take your exam using Visa or Mastercard.

CLEP

The administrative charge for taking your exam at the main campus in Columbia, Mo., is $25 and is due at the time of registration. The exam fee of $87 is paid prior to arriving at the Testing Center.
