Choosing a major
We'll help you find a major that works for you.
Regardless of your major, your college degree will demonstrate that you have the skills employers are seeking. You'll learn to think critically, communicate effectively and solve problems strategically.
First-year college students may still be deciding as they explore possibilities. Here are some tips as you weigh your options.
- When deciding on a major, talk to other students who are majoring in subjects that interest you
- Take courses in areas you may be interested in pursuing
- Talk to faculty about possible career paths.
- Explore careers through the Career Center
In many cases, your major does not ultimately decide your career choice. So select a major that interests you, and benefit from a well-rounded liberal arts education.
