A seamless transition from Associate to Bachelor’s

Students in Commons

Associate to Bachelor’s (A2B) Program saves you time and money

Through the years, Columbia College has developed excellent relationships with community colleges across the nation. Each day we work with students like you, who begin their education at a community college with the intent to transfer to Columbia College to complete a bachelor’s degree.

We develop full four-year degree plans you can follow so you know exactly what to take at the community college and what to take at Columbia College when you transfer. You save time and money because you know all of your classes will transfer into your degree as long as you follow your plan.

You will be assigned an A2B advisor who will help you maximize your community college credit hours and minimize your tuition expenses and time by recommending only the classes you need. A2B locks in your catalog year so even if our degree requirements change, yours will remain the same. You can apply to the A2B program up until your final semester at the community college.

Apply, attend, transfer

Apply for admission to Columbia College and complete the A2B agreement.

We’ll connect you with an A2B advisor who will help you create a degree plan and lock in a catalog year, to avoid a change in requirements.

Attend classes at your community college and complete the courses outlined in your plan to finish your associate degree.

Each fall and spring semester, meet with your A2B advisor.

When you complete your associate degree, transfer to CC where you will complete the remaining required classes for your bachelor’s degree.

You can take classes at any of our more than 40 locations or online.
