(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.) - Columbia College-Jacksonville will confer nine associate and 55 bachelor's degrees to students at a commencement ceremony at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 19 at the All Saints Chapel on Naval Air Station Jacksonville.
Dr. Anthony Alioto, Columbia College professor of history and Althea W. and John A. Schiffman chair in ethics, religious studies and philosophy, will be the featured speaker.
"For 16 years, Columbia College-Jacksonville has helped working adults and military personnel pursue college degrees," said Mike Randerson, Columbia College vice president for Adult Higher Education. "Commencement is an opportunity for faculty, staff, friends and family to celebrate each student's accomplishment."
Columbia College-Jacksonville, located onboard Naval Air Station Jacksonville, was established in 1990 to serve military personnel and their dependents, as well as working adults in the Jacksonville area.
Columbia College serves nearly 25,000 students each year at its Day Campus, Evening Campus, Online Campus, Graduate Studies Program and its more than 30 Nationwide Campuses.
