New director appointed at Columbia College-Los Alamitos

(Los Alamitos, Calif.)-AnneMarie Koerin has been selected as the new director of Columbia College-Los Alamitos.

In her new position, Koerin will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Los Alamitos campus, including student recruitment and retention, class scheduling and faculty recruitment. She began her duties March 21.

Prior to joining Columbia College, Koerin was the director of ITT Technical Institute in Torrance, Calif., where she was responsible for delivering quality educational programs and services. She planned, organized and directed education, career services, recruitment and financial and student services. She was named National Director of the Year in 2003.

Koerin also has worked as director of finance for ITT Technical Institute, as well as financial aid administrator and district administrative assistant. Koerin received her master's in business administration degree from University of Redlands in Redland, Calif., and her bachelor's degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

"AnneMarie's wealth of experience, particularly in the daily oversight of a campus, will be an immense benefit to Columbia College- Los Alamitos," said Mike Randerson, associate vice president and dean for the Extended Studies Division at Columbia College. "We are very pleased to welcome her as part of our team."

Columbia College has been serving the higher education needs of the Los Alamitos area since 1997, and today continues to serve civilian and military adult learners in the area.

Columbia College serves a total of 20,000 students each year at its Day Campus, Evening Campus, Online Campus, Graduate Studies Program and its 30 extended campuses nationwide.
