Student Health Insurance
COVID-19 resources for students enrolled in the UHC medical policy.
All full-time students taking day classes at the traditional campus in Columbia, Missouri, are required to be enrolled in an Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliant health insurance plan.
We do not accept Health Care Sharing Ministries or Co-Ops as acceptable coverage for waiver purposes. Payment for medical services may be capped and what will be covered is completely up to the Sharing Ministry and can change at any time without notice. Most Health Care Sharing Ministries do not comply with the consumer protections of the federal Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Students who are U.S. citizens or who have health insurance coverage through another entity (parents, spouse, etc.) will not be required to buy the College-sponsored plan so long as they show proof of coverage. International students should review the international student health policy.
To show proof, students will need to complete the online form providing proof of health insurance coverage. Each year, students will be required to provide proof of insurance.
If students cannot provide proof by the first date of the semesters classes, they will automatically be enrolled and billed. There will be no refunds given. These charges will be added to payment plan arrangements made with Enrollment Service Center.
