What did you do in that position?

Conducted research on type 1 diabetes.

How was that experience?

It was a life-changing experience, because I learned that research does not always work and that learning to be comfortable with failure is an important part of the research process. 

What have you learned?

I learned a wide range of research techniques from basic laboratory techniques to high-level research.

What Grossnickle Career Services Center resources did you utilize?

We weren’t required to submit a resume as part of the internship; however, the internship-search resources available at the career center helped me identify the best internships for my career goals.

What would you tell other students about your experience with the Grossnickle Career Services Center?

I encourage other students to explore the amazing services provided by the Grossnickle Career Services Center because it will positively impact their lives. Knowing that students have a diverse range of interests, I would say that each and every student’s needs would be met accordingly.
