Students often wonder whether they should complete an internship during their college career. The answer to that question is always an emphatic, “Yes!” An internship serves as a kind of “trial run” for a student’s chosen field. This experience allows the student to explore their future career in more depth, gain professional skills outside of the academic setting, and network with others in the profession. Internships help students make important decisions about where they want to go and what they want to do after graduation. They also allow them to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to the “real world.”
