Dr. Rebekah Freese, LCSW, Assistant Professor of Human Services, has a Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Missouri. Her doctoral research focused on competence and confidence of mental health providers in conducting suicide client assessments. She teaches a wide variety of courses from Intro to Human Services, Working with Families to Assisting the Military and other courses focused on how to facilitate groups, intervene with marginalized groups, and take community action.
Dr. Freese utilizes her twenty-eight years of practice experience to enrich the learning environment, aiming to develop competent and skilled human service professionals. Her passion for teaching, research, and mentorship of students as well as service to promote social and economic justice assists students in developing critical thinking skills to address real world problems around the globe.
