Dr. Brian Kessel received bachelor of arts degrees in German and political science from the University of Northern Iowa and his master's and doctorate degrees in political science from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Kessel teaches courses in comparative politics and international relations. He taught in visiting positions at Kalamazoo College and Western Illinois University before coming to Columbia College in 2000. He currently serves as Director of the College’s General Education program. Dr. Kessel is the faculty advisor for the Model United Nations team and the political science honor society, Pi Sigma Alpha.
