Minor in ROTC

Specialized courses taught as part of the Reserve Officer Training Corps program can contribute toward the ROTC minor.

The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) provides students the opportunity to become officers in the armed forces of the United States while pursuing their college degrees. At Columbia College, ROTC is offered in collaboration with the University of Missouri – Columbia.

Each branch of the military has its own set of courses: aerospace studies for the Air Force, naval science for the Navy and military science for the Army.

In addition to the coursework, students in the ROTC program complete additional duties. In some cases, students receive ROTC scholarships to help with the costs of their education.
