Minor in Communication Studies
Explore how people create, maintain and alter their identity in artistic and everyday activities.
Every industry relies on professionals who can communicate accurately, effectively and strategically.
A minor in communication studies will develop and strengthen the critical thinking and writing skills needed to help organizations better convey their messages.
You’ll be introduced to communication theory, analysis and criticism. Then, select from classes that will sharpen your writing skills and ability to communicate in a cultural context. Choose from electives to advance your knowledge of film styles, social media and gender communication.
A communication studies minor works with other programs in the humanities, and especially complements degrees in STEM, political science, public administration, and sociology.
