Minor in Beacon Middle School Mathematics Certification
Earn a minor in middle school mathematics education through our Beacon program while completing your bachelor’s degree.
Students combine studies in education and studies in mathematics to earn this minor. It’s geared toward those on a path to teaching at the middle school level – part of our Beacon program for students who wish to complete a bachelor’s degree in a content area while earning a minor in a teacher certification area.
The required math courses range from algebra to calculus and analytic geometry to statistics, with dozens of additional electives.
On the professional education side, the required courses address topics such as middle school methods and educational psychology – topics that ensure students are equipped for success in the classroom.
