Minor in Beacon Middle School General Science Certification
Earn a minor in middle school general science education through our Beacon program while completing your bachelor’s degree.
Students combine studies in education and studies in general science to earn this minor. It’s geared toward those on a path to teaching at the middle school level – part of our Beacon program for students who wish to complete a bachelor’s degree in a content area while earning a minor in a teacher certification area.
The science requirements range from astronomy to biology and environmental science to physical geology.
On the professional education side, the required courses address topics such as middle school methods and educational psychology – topics that ensure students are equipped for success in the classroom.
