What You'll Learn 

In this interdisciplinary study, you'll examine the historical, political, economic, social, and cultural influences that weave our world together. This program steps beyond the ordinary with a 3 credit-hour cross-cultural experience requirement, which can be fulfilled through additional language studies, an abroad educational experience, or an internship, all designed to broaden your global perspective. From historical context to current political scenarios, you will learn to analyze and interpret global events and trends comprehensively – preparing you to navigate, and lead in, an interconnected world.

The flexibility of our program allows for potential double majoring opportunities with Spanish, Political Science, or History, offering you a unique interdisciplinary education. This interdisciplinary approach encourages a comprehensive understanding of global affairs, positioning you at the forefront of international issues and solutions.

Drawing on coursework in over a dozen fields, you will have the opportunity to investigate a variety of challenges facing the global community and develop the knowledge and skills to address them. Some of those courses are:

Students at nationwide locations are expected to engage with multiple learning methods, including online and virtual while completing their degree. Columbia College offers on-campus programs with traditional classroom instruction at the Residential Campus in Columbia, Missouri.
