Dr. Amy Darnell Professor - Language and Communication Studies Department

B.A., Morehead State University; M.A., University of Texas at Austin; Ph.D., Southern Illinois University

Darnell's research interests focus on the intersections of photography, performance, and culture. Her scholarly and creative work has been published in Liminalities: A Journal of Performance Studies, Performing Ethos, and Text and Performance Quarterly. When she's not teaching film and visual communication courses at Columbia, Darnell often imagines teaching alongside Tami Taylor and Walter White. Students are encouraged to attend office hours to discuss the joys of Ohio State football.
