Dr. Ken Akers Assistant Professor - Business Administration Department

B.S., Radford University; M.S., Radford University, PhD, University of Missouri

Dr. Ken Akers began teaching in the Department in 2012 and formerly served as chair. He received his M.S. in Corporate and Professional Communication from Radford University in 2004 and a PhD in Organizational Communication from the University of Missouri. Dr. Akers was a commissioned officer in the Army Reserve for 13 years. He has taught university level courses in Management, Business Communication, Organizational Theory, Business Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, and Ethics. He teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Akers has research interests in Gender, Socialization, and Analytics.
