Columbia, Mo. — Boone County Lumber recently shared the success of its business with its Rogers Street neighbor, Columbia College, by donating to the Columbia College Boone County Endowed Scholarship Fund.
After being recognized for marketing excellence by ProSales magazine, a national publication, the lumber company received a $1,000 donation from the magazine to be donated to a non-profit organization of the company's choice. Brad Eiffert, vice president of Boone County Lumber, said Columbia College was a natural choice as the recipient of the funds. "Columbia College truly stands out in the community as a provider of quality education not only for traditional students, but also for adults working toward a college degree," he said. "We felt good about supporting the college's mission with our donation."
The Boone County Endowed Scholarship was established in 1998 to foster partnerships between Boone County businesses and Columbia College by providing tuition assistance to residents of Boone County attending Columbia College. Founded in 1851, Columbia College serves 25,000 students each year through its 32 Nationwide Campuses, Online Campus, Evening Campus, Graduate Studies Program and Day Campus.
