Columbia College-Fort Worth to hold commencement ceremony May 27

(FORT WORTH, Texas)--Columbia College-Fort Worth will confer 26 associate, 75 bachelor's and 19 master's degrees to students at a commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 27 at the Fort Worth Convention Center, 1201 Houston St., Fort Worth.

Dr. Anthony Alioto, Columbia College professor of history and Althea W. and John A. Schiffman chair in ethics, religious studies and philosophy, will be the featured speaker.

"For more than 30 years, Columbia College has helped working adults and military personnel pursue college degrees," said Mike Randerson, Columbia College vice president for Adult Higher Education. "Commencement is an opportunity for faculty, staff, friends and family to celebrate each studentís accomplishment."

Columbia College-Fort Worth was established at Naval Air Station Dallas in 1975 and began holding classes at NAS Fort Worth in 1992 when the government began closing NAS Dallas. The campus has served working adult learners in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for 30 years.

Columbia College serves nearly 25,000 students each year at its Day Campus, Evening Campus, Online Campus, Graduate Studies Program and its more than 30 Nationwide Campuses.
