Add-on certificates
Columbia College offers several certificate programs that can help you focus on specific topics of interest and set you apart in the workforce. A certificate program can also be a great stepping stone and introduction into a degree program.
Applying for a certificate is the same process as applying for admissions at Columbia College. You'll use the same application, just make the appropriate selection in the online form. If applying for a business-related certificate, be sure to select “non-degree seeking.” Other types of certificates are listed as certificate options on the application.

Send test scores
If you are applying for any certificate other than a business certificate, send one of the following to the Office of the Registrar
- Your high school transcript*
- Your GED/HiSET score
- Your college transcripts* if you have more than six credit hours
If applicable, have official score reports (Advanced Placement, CLEP, DSST) mailed.

If you have served in the military, request that an electronic copy of your transcripts be sent to EVALTrans@ccis.edu
*We will accept unofficial transcripts for admission purposes, however official transcripts are required within 90 days.
