Kaplan Nursing Entrance Test Dates

Students are required to achieve a competitive score on the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam in order to be considered for acceptance into the Nursing Sequence. The exam must be administered at Columbia College to be considered for admission.

Columbia College utilizes the following sections of the exam:

  • Math
  • Reading
  • Vocabulary
  • Anatomy and Physiology

Students may take the exam at any time before the application deadline. However, it is highly recommended it be taken as close as possible to finishing the prerequisite courses. Students are allowed to take the exam twice. There is a Study Guide available on the Kaplan website kaplan-nursing-school-admissions-test.

Registration, Payment, and Dates

You must be a fully admitted Columbia College student to register for the exam. Registrations for the entrance exam can't be processed from a mobile device or tablet. Students may use results from either testing location for either nursing program.

If you fail to take the exam on the scheduled date, payment cannot be refunded or used toward a later test date.

Important information

  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes early, as the test will start promptly.
  • Late arrivals will not be admitted.
  • Calculators and phones are not allowed. A calculator is embedded in the exam.
  • Bring a photo ID with you or you will not be permitted to take the exam.
  • Bring your Kaplan user ID and password with you to the exam.
  • Pencil and scratch paper are provided by Columbia College.
  • The test is computerized. There are four sections and each section are timed. Allow at least 3 hours for exam.
  • Test results may be viewed online immediately.
  • There is a non-refundable and non-transferable $44 fee charged each time you register for the exam.
  • Registration limit is 12 for the Lake Ozarks location and 20 for the main campus location.
