We believe that to create a highly innovative institution of higher education we not only must represent but embrace diversity and inclusion of all people. Why do we value diversity, inclusion and equity at CC? Because diversity inspires new ideas, builds bridges, creates opportunities for personal and community growth and teaches us life long lessons of the value of other people.

Statement of inclusivity

Here at Columbia College we welcome persons from all backgrounds and beliefs to join our staff and College Community. Columbia College is committed to providing equal opportunities for all and does not discriminate or retaliate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, creed, religion, citizenship or intended citizenship status, veteran status, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy or parental status, marital status, age, disability, or any other status protected by law ("protected status"). We are committed to making the Columbia College Community a safe space for all employees, students, applicants for employment or admission, contractors, vendors, visitors, guests, and participants in College-sponsored programs and activities (collectively, the "College Community"). Anyone within the College Community may apply to allegations of discrimination or retaliation that occur off campus, online, or during after-hours functions sponsored by Columbia College.

Columbia College welcomes students from around the world. We celebrate the unique voices and perspectives our students bring to campus. We’ve participated in the #YouAreWelcomeHere campaign to affirm our commitment to diversity, safety and student development.
