Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Service Award

The award was created in 2019 to celebrate and acknowledge staff, faculty and Columbia College community members who reflect Dr. King’s ideals.

Columbia College has been hosting the Annual Columbia College Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Awards in January 2019.

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Award was created to celebrate and acknowledge staff, faculty and Columbia College community members who reflect Dr. King’s ideals of equity, faith, nonviolence, education, love, leadership, selflessness and hope. A pair of awards are given to honor those who make our communities a better place through service and volunteerism. This includes one award for a member of the Columbia College community and one award for a student, faculty, or staff organization/department.
