Why did you choose Columbia College?
I chose Columbia College after seeing a few commercials back in late 2009 and I was so skeptical about taking courses online because I was so used to sitting in a class. When I went onto the website I was truly impressed by all the resources available to potential students so I scheduled to go to my local campus and speak to one of the advisers. After speaking with one of the advisers, I took a few days to think about it and decided that I wanted to do it. I knew I couldn't keep putting off going back to school because why put off tomorrow what can be done today, so I did my application and submitted all my documents and was registered for classes within the next two weeks. It was a impressive and easy process, not to mention the prices were very affordable. Truly one of the best choices I have made in life.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to continue my degree by attaining an MBA and then using all my degrees to help people and make our society a better place while also making myself a better person.
What was your favorite course, and why?
My favorite courses were my foreign language courses: Middle Eastern Culture and Society and Culture of Society of Africa I. They were my favorite because of my previous stereotypes from not truly knowing about either culture were discredited and my awareness of the cultures are now more factual.
Is there anyone you would like to thank?
I would like to thank God foremost for allowing me to wake up every morning and continue to seek my degree. I would like to thank my kids for being my inspiration to want to do better and be better, and my family for the continued support. The great staff at Columbia as well for always being there to answer questions or make much needed clarifications in such timely manners. I appreciate all that I have encountered in my journey.
