Why did you choose Columbia College?
It is a great college with several attendance options that gave me the ability to continue education while supporting my husband in the military.
What are your plans for the future?
I would like to work with youth in either a counseling or educational environment. Eventually, I plan on obtaining my Mastee's degree in Social Work to earn the credentials as either a school counselor or work with military families.
What was your favorite course, and why?
I would have to say, Minority Cultures and Relationships. It was very insightful, and me a new perspective on different cultures and their experiences. It brought to light the true disadvantages that still exist based on our country's history.
Is there anyone you would like to thank?
I wouldn't have had the determination and drive to finish school without my parents. They always made it a point to show me how important education and a formal degree is to further your career and earn a good salary.
I have to especially thank my mother for the encouragement over the years, and my husband for the support he's provided over the years to enable me to graduate while working full-time, being a wife and mother.
