Why did you choose Columbia College? I chose CCIS because of the smaller class sizes and that there are a lot of older students that I could relate to in the field that I am studying.
What are your plans for the future? I am currently in charge of a local non for profit group home and I plan to continue that path and then later on become an onsite counselor/ administrator for a disability workshop here in Columbia.
What was your favorite course, and why? I really enjoyed my foreign language courses, ASL, I grew up learning SSE and loved learning how to communicate in a different way. I really enjoyed the variety of learning tools the professor used to get us to learn more efficiently.
Is there anyone you would like to thank? I would like to thank my family who really helped me while I worked full time while going this for myself. My son Zachary who has had to deal with my moodiness when I had too many deadlines at once. I also want to acknowledge Linda and Greg Ordway, for being supportive and working around my homework and classes. And the team that I work with for ignoring any behaviors that I had when I got too stressed out. Thanks everyone for being there for me.
