In-depth study of athletic training techniques and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. Prerequisite: PHED 150.

Course Rotation for Day Program: Offered Spring.
Course Objectives

*To teach proper clinical assessment techniques in order to formulate a plan for proper first aid, emergency care and/or doctor referral. *To implement comprehensive rehabilitation and conditioning programs, and learn administrative duties involved in athletic training.

Topical Outline:

1- Evaluation of joints 2- Rehabilitation of injuries 3- Use of modalities 4- Illnesses and conditions 5- Psychology of the injured athlete 6- Administration and record keeping
