Where do I start?

You have just been admitted—what should you do now? We encourage you to use the following checklist to help get you started. More information about each step can be found in the sections below:

Step 1 Submit your Transcripts

College policy requires that we must have official transcripts from all previous colleges, military training, and AP, CLEP, and DSST exams before an evaluation can be completed. If you have not yet requested transcripts from all previous schools, please do so as soon as possible. Missing transcripts can impact financial aid and will delay your official degree evaluation, increasing your chance of taking unnecessary classes. In addition, you might not be able to register for more than two sessions if you have missing transcripts.

Step 2 Set up your Financial Aid

If you are interested in applying for Financial Aid you should visit Financial Aid for information and submit the required paperwork as soon as possible. You can reach their office directly at 800-231-2391 ext. 7390 or ext. 7252 or by email at

Step 3 Contact an Advisor

If you are a new degree-seeking student, you are required to contact an academic advisor before you can register. This not only gives us an opportunity to talk with you about your program and what classes you will take your first session, but also gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Keep in mind that until the official evaluation of your transcripts is completed we will only be able to give you general advice about your degree. Once you receive your official degree evaluation, we would be more than happy to go over your specific requirements with you.

Step 4 Register for Class

View the Online Campus academic calendar to find out when registration begins. On or after that date you can sign up for class. View more information on how to register.

It is preferable to have an official evaluation before registering for a class, but it is not a requirement for the Online Campus student. You may contact an online advisor for course suggestions, or you may choose a course or two that you know will be needed and will not be met with transfer credit.
