File Viewers
The programs below are free viewer programs which allow you to open and view common document files. You will not be able to create, edit or save documents with these viewers.
- Microsoft Word Viewer (for Windows XP/Vista/7)
Don't have Microsoft Word on your computer? This program allows you to open and view Word (.doc, .docx) documents. - Microsoft Excel Viewer
(for Windows XP/Vista/7)
This viewer allows you to open, view and print any Excel (.xls, .xlsx) spreadsheet files. - Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer
(for Windows XP/Vista/7)
This viewer allows you to open, view and print any PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) files. - Adobe Reader
Adobe Reader allows you open and view Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
SAMxp
Students taking CISS 170 will need to install the SAMxp software on their computer. The SAM software is located on the CD that comes in the textbook bundle from MBS. If you purchased used textbooks, you will need to contact your instructor for instructions on ordering the SAM software. You will get the Institution Key from your instructor.
