General Education Mobile (GEM)
GEM is a partnership between the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) and civilian academic institutions to offer general education courses to meet CCAF Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree requirements. GEM allows an Airman to complete all general education requirements at one institution via online distance coursework for faster degree completion.
Columbia College has partnered with CCAF to offer the following general education courses to fulfill the general education requirements for the AAS (choose one course from each requirement area below).
Note: CCAF students enrolled in the CCAF 2017-2019 General Catalog, have two options to complete the communications requirement. Option 1 is to complete 3 semester hours of written communication and 3 semester hours of oral communication courses. Option 2 is to complete 6 semester hours of non-duplicative written communication courses. Please see your local base education office advisor for further details.
