Columbia College seeks a Registration and Financial Services Coordinator who will serve students in both the call center and walk-in center, will counsel students regarding eligibility for federal, state and institutional aid programs, assist students with payments and/or questions in reference to their account, and register students for courses.
Minimum qualifications include a 1-2 years of experience in customer service area; excellent customer, telephone, and interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills; PC/word processing skills; possess the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail; ability to process and retain information quickly in a very fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and switching gears as needed; demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; and ability to handle high-stress in a positive manner and remain productive. Preferred qualifications include Bachelor's degree (or extensive relative work experience will be considered in lieu of degree) and 1-3 years' experience in higher education and/or customer service environment.
