The Seabrook Writing Center and Tutoring Services at Columbia College is seeking a part-time American Sign Language tutor to work about 6 hours per week during the 2014/15 academic year. Tutoring involves one-on-one and small group instruction with emphasis on ASL and its relationship to deaf culture.
Qualifications include prior teaching and/or formal tutoring experience, experience in the deaf community, and excellent organizational and communication skills. A bachelor's degree and experience with individualized instruction is preferred.
