Columbia College – Kansas City seeks a part-time Mathematics Tutor to provide individual and group tutoring to students at the Kansas City campus in addition to supporting student learning styles and study skills on an as-needed basis. Tutor will provide assistance to the student by reviewing all class material, including textbooks and other resources, clarifying/explaining formulas, checking homework problems/identifying errors, and other activities related to academic support in classes requiring mathematics skills. This tutoring is offered as a supplement to instruction provided in in-seat and online Columbia College classes.
Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Math or related field, excellent communication skills, and ability to work evenings and weekends. The Tutor must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred qualifications include teaching or tutoring experience.
