The following scholarships are available to students who attend a Columbia College campus that is not located in Columbia, Mo. Some scholarships available to students at any of the extended nationwide campuses, or locate your campus in the chart below for campus-specific scholarships.

Associate Degree
Transfer Grant
$375 ($75 per session) Eligibility for the Associate Transfer Grant includes the following criteria:

The Associate Degree must have been earned within the past twelve months and consist of 60 credit hours or its equivalent. The student must not have received the Associate degree from Columbia College. The student may not have completed additional college work since the award of the Associate degree. The student must have financial need. (For example, he or she must not be eligible for VA Benefits or for Tuition Assistance.)

The Associate Transfer Grant provides a reduction in tuition for each eligible student at a maximum of $12.50 per credit hour attempted.

This award is for five sessions only, for a maximum total award of $375.
To receive and remain eligible for the grant, the student must maintain satisfactory academic progress according to established institutional policy and must be continuously enrolled as a full-time student. Complete and submit an application for institutional aid.  
Frank Westling Scholarship $500
  • Enrolled at Nationwide campus at time of award
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Met residency requirements for degree sought

Senior Citizen Award 50% tuition reduction Awarded to students 65 years of age or older. Students are required to pay all other charges in connection with enrollment, coursework and graduation. Complete and submit an application for institutional aid.  
Spouse's Opportunity Scholarship Amount is tuition for one class. Awarded to spouse of active duty military members at extended campuses. Student must be enrolled in first class at Columbia College. First course must be seat class (not eligible for online coursework). Student must be seeking first degree. Student must complete the FAFSA and have it submitted to Columbia College. Student must meet with academic advisor. Student must submit spouse's opportunity scholarship form along with documentation that spouse is active duty.
(The application for institutional aid is not required.)
 
Military Spouse Tuition Discount 20% tuition discount for undergraduate in-seat classes To be eligible the student must be the spouse of active duty or activated Guard and Reserve member of any military branch. The discount does not apply to online coursework, nor does it apply to military spouses covered under a tuition assistance program. This scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with the two-in-family grant. Please contact your local campus for information regarding how to apply.  
Two-in-Family Grant $75 per session Applies when two or more immediate family members (spouse, mother, father, daughter, son, brother or sister) are enrolled in six credit hours each. Renewable with good academic standing and continued full time enrollment for both family members. Complete and submit an application for institutional aid. A new application must be completed each year.  
Warranted Degree One free course Students who complete a degree at Columbia College are eligible.
Eligible students may enroll in one course free of charge if: five years have elapsed since receiving their degree, they owe no fees and are not in default on federal aid loans.
Students may enroll for credit or as auditors in courses being offered during the regularly scheduled semesters or sessions, provided space is available and course prerequisites are met.
The Warranted Degree program cannot be used for graduate-level or online courses. Students are required to pay lab fees and for textbooks associated with the course. Students are permitted to enroll in one free course in each subsequent five-year period but may not accumulate free courses.
The student must be admitted to Columbia College. (Apply for admission.)
After they are admitted, they must complete and submit an application for institutional aid.
 

Aurora, CO

Edward Halloran Memorial Scholarship   Two $500 scholarships Presented to an Aurora Student.
  • Applicant must be a current degree seeking student of the Aurora Campus (defined as a student that is currently enrolled in at least two courses at the Aurora Campus). A student is not considered enrolled if they are currently only taking distance education course(s).
  • Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher while a student at Columbia College.
  • Applicant must have completed 24 semester hours by the end of the session that the award is presented. Of the 24 semester hours, 18 must have been earned with Columbia College.
  • Applicant must be involved in local community activities and provide a statement relative to their involvement.
  • Applicant must provide a written statement of current and future goals.
