Day Campus: Scholarships for Currently Enrolled Students

This is a general reference guide only. For detailed information regarding terms and conditions of scholarships and renewal criteria, please review the "Scholarships, Awards, and Grants" section of your academic catalog. Find your catalog on the Registrar Web site. Institutional scholarships listed apply to tuition only; combinations of scholarships and external assistance cannot exceed tuition or apply to other charges unless otherwise specified. Scholarships below are only available to full-time undergraduate Day Campus students unless otherwise specified. This scholarship criteria is reviewed annually for changes; contact Registration and Financial Services to determine if there are any proposed changes for the upcoming year.

The following scholarships are available to students who are currently enrolled in traditional day classes in Columbia, Mo.

Automatic Scholarships

Alumni Legacy Grant Awarded to students who are children of alumni who received an associate, bachelor's or master's degree at Columbia College. 15% tuition discount; 10% tuition discount for grandchildren of alumni Yes
CCAA Scholars Program Awarded to a full time, degree seeking student who has completed at least 24 Columbia College credit hours and has a cumulative GPA of 2.75. Students can complete the application here. $1,000 Yes, must reapply each academic year
Capstone Awarded to students with the most recent 27 hours earned at Columbia College and with a 3.6 Columbia College cumulative GPA. 60% of tuition Yes
Cornerstone Awarded to students with the most recent 27 hours earned at Columbia College and with a 3.2 Columbia College cumulative GPA. 25% of tuition Yes
Coast Guard Spouse Grant The overall award maximum is limited to $4,000. To be eligible, the student must be the spouse of an active duty Coast Guard military member, degree seeking in an associate degree program (excluding the Associate of General Studies degree program) and fully admitted to Columbia College. The discount does not apply to students whose tuition is covered under other tuition assistance programs. This grant cannot be used in conjunction with any other Columbia College tuition discounts or grants. Student must submit the grant application before registering and show military dependent identification card to campus for verification (online students may submit the Military Status Form). Disciples of Christ Pastoral Award Awarded to Disciples of Christ members who are nominated by their minister and who are first-time Columbia College students. $1000 per year Yes
Disciples of Christ Schiffman Supplementary Award Awarded to recipients of the Disciples of Christ Pastoral Award. Requires minister's letter of endorsement. No limit per congregation. $1000 per year Yes
Keystone Awarded to students with the most recent 27 hours earned at Columbia College and with a 3.4 Columbia College cumulative GPA. 50% of tuition Yes
Midwest student exchange Awarded to students whose permanent address is from Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, or Wisconsin. 10% discount Yes
Military Spouse Tuition Grant To be eligible the student must be the spouse of an military members currently serving on active duty or of members of the Guard and Reserves. The discount does not apply to online coursework, nor does it apply to students whose tuition is covered under tuition assistance programs other than the MyCAA program. This grant cannot be used in conjunction with the two-in-family grant. Student must submit the grant application before registering and show military dependent identification card to campus for verification. 20% tuition discount for undergraduate in-seat courses A new Military Spouse Tuition Grant form must be completed each academic year.

Missouri State Teachers Association Grant

  • Student must be a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association.
  • Student must submit the MSTA Grant Application Form and a copy of their MSTA membership card annually in order to receive the MSTA Grant.

Silver Citizen Discount Awarded to students 65 years of age or older. Students are required to pay all other charges in connection with enrollment, coursework and graduation. Two-in-Family Grant Awarded to full-time students with an immediate family member (parent, child, sibling, spouse) enrolled full-time at Columbia College. $500 per year Yes
