Day Campus: All Scholarships

This is a general reference guide only. For detailed information regarding terms and conditions of scholarships and renewal criteria, please review the "Scholarships, Awards, and Grants" section of your academic catalog. Find your catalog on the Registrar Web site. Institutional scholarships listed apply to tuition only; combinations of scholarships and external assistance cannot exceed tuition or apply to other charges unless otherwise specified. Scholarships below are only available to full-time undergraduate Day Campus students unless otherwise specified. This scholarship criteria is reviewed annually for changes; contact the Enrollment Service Center to determine if there are any proposed changes for the upcoming year.

The following scholarships are available to students who attend traditional day classes in Columbia, Mo.

Alumni Referral Grant Awarded to new freshman or transfer students who are formally referred to the Day Campus by a Columbia College alumnus. Alumni Legacy Grant or Alumni Legacy Scholarship recipients are not eligible. $500 Yes New freshman, new transfer students, & new international students
Associate Degree Transfer Grant Students who transfer directly to Columbia College with an associate degree are eligible. Phi Theta Kappa, Cornerstone, Keystone, and Capstone scholarship recipients are not eligible for the grant. $1000

Boone County Endowed Award Recipients must be Boone County residents who can demonstrate involvement in community service. Students also must have a 3.1 cumulative GPA or GED equivalent and 22 ACT or SAT equivalent. Up to $1000

Coast Guard Spouse Grant The overall award maximum is limited to $4,000. To be eligible, the student must be the spouse of an active duty Coast Guard military member, degree seeking in an associate degree program (excluding the Associate of General Studies degree program) and fully admitted to Columbia College. The discount does not apply to students whose tuition is covered under other tuition assistance programs. This scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other Columbia College tuition discounts or grants. Student must submit the scholarship application before registering and show military dependent identification card to campus for verification (online students may submit the Military Status Form). Renewable for maximum of three years after grant first used. 50% tuition grant for in-seat or online undergraduate courses. Col. Mike Randerson Scholarship Complete and submit a Col. Randerson Scholarship Application along with essay and references. Columbia College Scholarship Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a 26 ACT or SAT equivalent. Recipients are selected from Scholarship Days. To be eligible must also demonstrate school/community leadership.

Disciples of Christ Schiffman Supplementary Award Awarded to recipients of the Disciples of Christ Pastoral Award. Requires minister's letter of endorsement. No limit per congregation. $1000

Endowed Awards Variable awards for new students who show promise of academic success. Awards include: Mary Green Lozier Award, Dillingham Family Scholarship, Lois Singletary Scholarship and others. Amount varies Varies based on scholarship New freshman or new transfer student
ESL Tuition grant Available to new students full-time English as Second Language students enrolled in ESOL 100, ESOL 101, ESOL 102, ESOL 103, ESOL 104 or ESOL 105. Students must be enrolled in at least nine (9) hours of ESOL courses (not to include ENGL 107) in order to receive this award. Students may be awarded this grant for one year only. $1000 per semester No International student
IB Diploma Scholarship Awarded to new freshman who have completed a recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma program with satisfactory marks. Satisfactory marks are defined as those greater than or equal to scores that will transfer in as Columbia College credit. up to $4,000 Yes New freshman
International Award (freshman) New freshman international students with a minimum 530 (197 computer based) TOEFL score or 22 ACT or SAT equivalent and a minimum 2.0 secondary school cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Midwest Student Exchange Awarded to students whose permanent address is from Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, or Wisconsin. 10% tuition discount Yes New freshman or new transfer student
Military Spouse Tuition Grant To be eligible the student must be the spouse of an military members currently serving on active duty or of members of the Guard and Reserves. The discount does not apply to online coursework, nor does it apply to students whose tuition is covered under tuition assistance programs other than the MyCAA program. This grant cannot be used in conjunction with the two-in-family grant. Missouri State Teachers Association Grant

  • Student must be a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association.
  • Student must submit the MSTA Grant Application Form and a copy of their MSTA membership card annually in order to receive the MSTA Grant.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship Phi Theta Kappa members transferring from a community/junior college with a minimum 3.6 cumulative college GPA and an Associate in Arts degree, Associate in Science degree or 60 transferable hours are eligible for this automatic award. $500 Yes New transfer student
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Scholarship Awarded to one Phi Theta Kappa member. Transfers from community/junior college with a minimum 3.6 cumulative college GPA and an associate in arts degree, associate in science degree or at least 60 transferable hours are eligible to compete. Presidential Scholarship Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a 26 ACT or SAT equivalent. Recipients are selected from Scholarship Days. To be eligible must also demonstrate school/community leadership.

Silver Citizen Discount Awarded to students 65 years of age or older. Students are required to pay all other charges in connection with enrollment, coursework and graduation.
