International Transfer Equivalencies
Columbia College’s Evaluations Department can evaluate courses from other institutions without course descriptions but the courses will most likely be evaluated as general electives. If a student wishes to have courses evaluated for possible direct equivalencies, course descriptions of each course must be provided.
Course descriptions must be translated to English and can be just a few sentences or a small paragraph in length. It is also acceptable for a student to submit a course syllabus or outline for evaluation purposes. Translations cannot be completed by students, friends, or family members. Translations have to be completed by a translation agency. Please click the International Transcripts link above to see a list of translation agencies available.
Only institutions that are recognized by the home country’s Ministry of Education as university-level, degree-granting institutions will be considered for transfer credit. Columbia College cannot transfer masters or PhD level courses into its undergraduate program.
