What is the purpose of the CCAA?
The CCAA, formed in 1963, is an organization composed of all graduates of the College. The purposes of the Alumni Association are:- To promote, in individual alumni and alumni groups, an active interest in the College.
- To establish mutually beneficial relations between the College, its alumni and friends.
- To provide the College with support through financial assistance, individual expertise and voluntary services.
How do I become a member of the CCAA?
Immediately upon receiving a degree from Columbia College, you automatically gain membership in the CCAA. Any other former students who request membership also may participate in the organization. Your class year is usually determined by the year your most recent degree was earned or by the year you last attended class at the College.Are there dues?
No, dues are not collected by the CCAA from its members.How is the CCAA organized?
The CCAA operates under its own constitution. It is led by a Board of Directors. The board meets four times per year to conduct CCAA business. Any CCAA member may nominate other members to serve on the Board of Directors. Four directors are elected each year, and each Director serves a three-year term. The Director of Alumni Services serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors, and works closely with its members as a liaison with the College staff.What services does the CCAA offer to its members?
The CCAA and Alumni Services offer the following kinds of services to its members:- provides information about the College and its programs through CC alumni magazine published three times a year
- plans events of special interest to alumni, such as class reunions, homecoming, dedications and alumni awards
- keeps classmates in touch with each other
