Student Ambassadors represent Columbia College as liaisons between prospective students, parents, staff, alumni, and the Admissions Office; to promote standards of intellectual and creative excellence; to inform prospective students of campus services, activities, and issues; to create an atmosphere which minimizes anxiety and promotes the development of positive attitudes; and shall assist in other institutional activities as well as continuing to advance spirit, pride, and tradition among students, staff, and faculty at Columbia College.
Student Ambassadors serve as the face of Columbia College. They need to meet certain standards of behaviors and performance, including achieving a minimum GPA of 2.0 and at least one semester at Columbia College is preferred. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Ambassadors participate in weekly tours, special events, monthly meetings, and other organization activities. Ambassadors are part-time employees of Columbia College, earning the current minimum wage as determined by the State of Missouri.
