Assessment office

Office mission

To advance the mission and values of Columbia College, the Office of Academic Assessment exists to:

  • support faculty in conducting continuous cycles of measurement and making data-informed decisions to improve student learning,
  • disseminate information about best assessment practices to enhance organizational development,
  • accumulate, maintain and communicate data to provide evidence that students have achieved course and program learning outcomes and that accreditation expectations are met.

Cyndi Louden believes that assessment is essential for improving student learning. She has worked with assessment data for over 15 years, and moved to Columbia College from The University of Texas at Austin in January, 2015. Cyndi also has experience as a science educator and geologist/marine scientist. She has found a true home at Columbia College, where she finds the student-centered atmosphere inspiring and energizing.  In her spare time, Cyndi enjoys photography, exploring Missouri, nature and crafting.
