Mission Statement

The Residential Life Program is an integral part of the educational experience at Columbia College.  As such, Residential Life strives to provide a living-learning environment that enhances individual growth and development; facilities that ensure safe and well-maintained conditions for students; and management services that provide effective supervision of all aspects of the program.

To shape and advance the on-campus living experience, Residential Life efforts are guided by several commitments:

• Students should be afforded opportunities for involvement in the campus community.
• Students should be afforded certain rights and responsibilities.
• Students should appreciate and promote tolerance, acceptance, and civility.
• Students should feel safe and secure.
• Students should have access to support and assistance.
