Residence Halls
Banks Hall
Banks Hall is the newest residence hall on campus. Banks houses 108 students
in double occupancy rooms. It is a coeducational hall with community bathrooms.
Among Banks' features are special study rooms on each floor and a computer lab.
The dimensions of
the room are approximately 13' x 15'. The Wellness Floor is housed in Banks.
This floor is home for those students that choose a substance free lifestyle.
Typically Banks Hall houses
many of our freshman and sophomore students.
Miller Hall
Miller Hall is Columbia College's largest residence hall, housing 154 students in
double-room suites connected by full bathrooms. Miller is divided into four sections of living
quarters, each with its own lounge. Two of the living sections are for female students and two
sections are for male students. Miller has a computer lab and two study lounges. The
dimension of the rooms are approximately 12' x 14'. Typically Miller houses returning
students.
Hughes Hall
Hughes Hall, with its traditional architecture, hardwood floors, and spacious
parlor, houses 64 students in 32 double-room suites connected by full baths.
Hughes is an all-female residence hall. Hughes has one study lounge and one
computer lab for residents' use. Typically Hughes houses returning female
students. The dimensions of the rooms are approximately 13'x 15'.
Hughes also houses the Hughes Haven — a special living environment in
the basement of the hall for upper-class women. Rooms are apartment style.
A lottery is held every spring semester to determine who lives there the
following academic year.
