top

I started with Columbia College in 2003. Can I get a degree audit?

No. Degree audit is available beginning with the 2004 catalog through the current catalog year.

top

Are pre-requisites included in the degree audit?

Pre-requisites (unless they are also a specific degree requirement) are not included in the totals or shown in the audit. Please refer to the catalog, course schedule, syllabi or your advisor for assistance with pre-requisites.

top

There are two general education requirements on my audit. Do I need to complete the Classical and Optional general education requirements?

Both Classical and Optional general education requirements will appear on an audit until you are eligible for your first enrollment with Columbia College. The amount of transfer you have prior to your initial enrollment with Columbia College will determine your eligibility for either the Optional (more than 36 transfer hours) or Classical (up to 36 hours in transfer).

top

Will degree audit allow me to switch from the Optional General Education requirements to the Classical General Education requirements?

Yes. If the Classical general education requirements are more beneficial, you may be switched from the Optional general education requirements. Please talk to your advisor to request the change.

top

Does my Overall GPA include my transfer GPA?

No. The “Overall GPA” only displays your Columbia College GPA.

top

Does the Upper Level Requirement count the upper level courses I will need in my major?

No. You may need more upper level courses in your major.

top

How many hours do I need in the Natural Science/Math section of general education? Why is that section so long?

top

I have a double major, but I only see one major printed at the top of my audit. Why don't they both show?

The top of the audit only displays one major. However, both majors will appear on the audit; one following the other.

top

Why don’t the courses I’m taking now meet my requirements?

Degree audit only applies completed credit towards degree requirements.

top

The audit shows that I have 0.3 hours left in a requirement. When can I submit a waiver for that to be waived?

A waiver may not be necessary. Contact your academic advisor to see if you need to submit a waiver form.

top

Why don’t I have an “Anticipated Completion Date” at the top of my audit?

Your graduation paperwork has not been processed. Please submit a Candidacy for Graduation form the semester before your last term. The “Anticipated Completion Date” will appear after your degree preclearance has been done.
