Academic Advising

It is highly encouraged for all others. New online students are required to contact an online academic advisor and discuss degree plans and course selections. During the communication, academic advisors review degree requirements and discuss transfer credits that may be applied to the degree plan. Also, recent automation of the degree audit process allows students to review their own degree plans and run updates as they choose.

Online Campus students can communicate with an academic advisor via fax, email, or telephone. The hours of operation for Online Campus are 8am – 8pm (CST), Monday through Friday, and 8am – 5pm (CST) on Saturday. Students who take online courses, but are affiliated with one of our 33 nationwide campuses, receive advisement through their local campus advisors. While hours of operation vary among the nationwide campuses, all of them provide advisement at least forty hours per week.
