About San Luis Obispo campus

Columbia College-San Luis Obispo was established as an extension of the Los Alamitos campus in 1998, it began offering courses at Cuesta College in 2001. The campus offers high-tech classrooms, comprehensive, online access to library resources, qualified academic advisors, quality faculty and a convenient location.

The San Luis Obispo campus provides a unique educational opportunity to working adults through its degree offerings and eight-week course format. As part of a network of campuses across the country and a robust online program, the college offers convenient courses to civilians as well as military adult learners.

Columbia College-San Luis Obispo has articulation agreements in place with Cuesta College and Allan Hancock College, to help ensure a smooth transition from an associate degree through a bachelor’s or master’s degree at Columbia College.

Campus history

Originally established in 1998 as an extension of the Los Alamitos campus, classes at Columbia College-San Luis Obispo were first held on the California National Guard base located next to Cuesta College. It opened as a separate and distinct campus at Cuesta College in 2001.

Today, the college continues to serve civilian and military adult learners in San Luis Obispo County.
